I saw a Google Offer for this place ($35 for $75) and realized it's right across the street from my office. I popped in after lunch and Melissa greeted me with a smile.

Before approaching the counter, I had flashbacks to shopping at Jean Therapy in Kenmore, where I got the Julia Roberts treatment for not fitting into their anorexic sizes. On two separate occasions, their salespeople brought me to tears in the dressing room.

Back to Blues Jean Bar... where I pasted on a smile and told Melissa I wear a (deep breath) 31 / 12 long. She said she had plenty for me and quickly pulled out about 6 pairs of jeans, including a few by David Kahn, the brand of my last favorite pair of jeans!

Many of the jeans were too tight and I realized I'm not the 12 I used to be! Not a problem. Melissa quickly pulled out another half dozen pairs, and I found two that I liked. Her feedback was helpful and she was very attentive despite the fact that she was also helping an older gentleman who may or may not have bought a pair of jeans in the past 20 years.

I asked if the jeans I liked were on sale and she said no, but she'd give me $35 off. I told her I was thinking of buying the Google deal and she said, "Oh that's a better deal...do that!" I clicked the "order" button on my phone and waited for a confirmation, but it didn't come. I told her I could come back later with it and she said, "Oh just email it to me when you get it...no need to come back!"

I am a sucker for good service, so this place now has my heart. And anyplace that can make me feel not fat for being a size 12-14 is my kind of place!

Highly recommend this, and the Google Offers deal!

I went to a party that a friend won, they served us wine and jeans after hours. Jasmine helped me and was a saint. She helped me try on 15 pairs of jeans and found the perfect pair at a great price. Can't wait to go back.

I usually balk at jeans over $100 but after years of having jeans wear out too fast and not fit perfectly my vanity won out over my frugality. I bit the bullet and went to the Blues Jean bar knowing that I wouldn't find a pair under $150. I walked in and they were super friendly. They have a million different brands, cuts, washes, etc. Nick helped me and he was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and forthcoming with his opinion. I tried on a ton of jeans and settled on 2 pairs that I love and that I think look great on me. (Paige and Fidelity) They even have a pair of high heels you can try jeans on in. I won't run off to buy a pair of $200 very often, but when I do, I'll come here.

Amy, one of the "bartenders" at the blue jeans bar is amazing! She concocts awesome denim cocktails, is super helpful and really wants to help you find the right pair of jeans. She also puts a lot of good energy into her job and you can tell that she enjoys helping make other people happy. Customer satisfaction guaranteed!

Plus, they have tons of products that are good for the earth and put proceeds into helping the less fortunate. Pretty darn awesome if you ask me.

Such a great experience! I walked in to a warm welcome and any help I needed. They had both men's and women's jeans, shoes, and clothes. It was like jeans made to order. I just told them what I was looking for in a jean: the wash, the size, the ankle and they found me a stack of jeans that fit my description. The window displays were adorable and fit the St. Patrcik's Day theme. The employees were also very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience.

I digg this place, Nice Jeans, pricing very good, Service is cool. The lady at the register helped me do my purchase rather expediently and she was friendly.

The selection of jeans is vast. i would vist this store again..  I like that it was moderately priced for Santana Row and the quality is good too..

AMAZING!

Concept is you walk into the "bar" and you "order" your jeans. You get to have a whole discussion both about what you are looking for in Jeans and how other Jeans have failed you in the past. Hey- replace the word "Jeans" with "Man" and you have me talking to a regular bar tender on a Friday night!

I worked with Kim- who was awesome. We had a whole convo about my ass that was not weird at all. We were besties by the end of this experience.

I got.... THE BEST....pair of jeans and got them tailored as well. How much do I love them? When I'm not wearing them- I'm sad. I wake up and put THEM on to walk around the house now instead of my robe. These jeans SPEAK to me.

Amazing jeans, and amazing customer service to match!!

I was looking for something so specific, I must have tried on a dozen pairs -- at the end of a Friday, no less -- and Jole was so easygoing and helpful!  She really knew her stuff and had excellent suggestions and ideas.  Long story short, she introduced me to a great new brand (DL1961), worked with me through two indecisive visits, made a list of my favorites, and made half a dozen phone calls the next day until I got exactly the style I wanted.  I promise I'm usually reluctant to be that much of a princess, but at least I can say that they will go the extra mile to make their clients happy!!

The boutique itself is also really lovely.  What a great concept, and so well executed.  I love the attention to detail and the nice changing rooms... who doesn't appreciate a nice environment when making purchasing decisions?

Whenever I am looking to shell out some cash on a great pair of jeans, I am definitely coming back here.  An overwhelmingly positive experience!

Style Shout Out to the blues Jean Bar and Pura Vida for giving back!

As I watched my daughter walk into school today with her backpack, lunch box, and Target bag stuffed with cans of food for the school's food drive I was reminded of how much I love this time of year. For me Thanksgiving is about being with family, cooking great food, and watching football. It's also the time we clean out our closets to see what items can be donated to help others.

And usually after a closet clean out there is a little room to add one or two new things and I know exactly where I'll be headed to pick up those items.

Recently my daughter and I went to the blues Jean Bar because they are the one place in our area that I know of that sells Pura Vida Bracelets. We discovered Pura Vida at Kitson on our last visit to Los Angeles. The bracelets are available in an assortment of fun colors and benefit great causes, including the Surfrider Foundation.

When we were at the blues Jean Bar picking out bracelets for Christmas gifts I noticed that they were running a promotion for November. For every can of food you bring to the store, they will give you five percent off a pair of jeans with the maximum discount being twenty percent. If you read my blog then you know I absolutely love when companies do something to give back so I figure this is the perfect time to pick up a new pair of jeans and feel good doing it.

The blues Jean Bar is unique in that the stores have a huge bar with a "jeantender" who is waiting to find you the perfect pair of jeans. They have really taken the guess work out of buying jeans and it's as easy as ordering a grande, non-fat cappuccino from Starbucks. For me I'll be ordering Paige, skinny, medium blue, ankle length jeans. My eight year old will most likely be picking out another Pura Vida bracelet and that's okay with me because when she wears them I know she will be reminded that it's always good to give back.

My Style Shout Out Tip: Visit the blues Jean Bar to find the perfect pair of jeans and don't forget to pick up a few Pura Vida bracelets. They make great stocking stuffers for Christmas and remember, giving back is always in style!

"By the end I've tried on 20 pairs of jeans. Through each turn at the 3 way mirror Amy is filling my head with information that is perfectly contrary to what I thought previously and filling me on the secrets to finding the right jean for me. Notable learnings include:

1. Jeans stretch 1/4 of their size the first hour you are in them. She rails that most women buy their jeans too big and as soon as this stretch goes into effect, that's when you end up with diaper butt.

2. Wash them but don't dry them. This ruins the natural elasticity of the jeans.

3. Puckering across the groin? I say too small. She says that actually means they are too big. If they fit the material lies flat,if they are too big it puckers. When you sit you'll get that manly-like, penis"tenting" effect. And no one wants that, right girls?

Her mantra is tight-tight-tight b/c they will stretch-stretch-stretch. She told me she would push me and she did - literally into jeans that were a size I wore 10+ years ago! Now granted those weren't the ones I ultimately bought but it was fun to know I could technically get into them. :) "

"Just wanted to send a note to sincerely say thank you again for putting on such a great event last night. My inbox was full of thank you’s from all of them this morning saying they just LOVED it and were sporting their new jeans today. You guys are fantastic and I too am wearing my jeans and feeling fab ;).

You’re awesome.

A million thank you’s,"

"Having a hard time finding a pair of jeans? Don't mind spending $150+ for a pair? Then you should try out the Blues Jean Bar. You give the gal behind the counter your size and your ideal fit and then you are handed several options to try out. And then you keep trying on more and more pairs until you find just the right one.

Hannah - the gal I worked with during my jean shopping experience was knowledgeable, patient, and sweet.

I am definitely sending my I-won't-go-jean-shopping-with-him-anymore-because-it-is-painful fiancé to Hannah and the Blues Jean Bar to see if they can finally fit him in a sexy yet functional pair of jeans.

They also carry some tops and cute jewelry."

I highly, highly recommend this place!! I think the $$$$ is a little misleading. Prices start at $120 and go up, it seems like most jeans were around $160 - $190. I got a pair for $170 and I have never gotten so many compliments -- they are the best jeans I've ever owned! Definitely take the advice of the sales ladies - they know their jeans."

"I bought a pair of Dylan George Baby Bootcut jeans in October '10 at the Chicago location, they didn't work out and I live in Summit County Colorado so I dealt with the Denver location for my exchange. They exchanged the jeans for the same pair no questions asked and when that pair didn't work out they worked with me to find a different pair that fit my expectations...Thank you to both Lindsey's at both locations and I've told many of my friends about my experience at your shops. I will be back!"

"I recently visited your Blues Jean Bar location in Chicago. I wanted to send you a note to share how great of an experience it was. The service, selection of jeans, and the fun process of the "bar" all made the visit extremely enjoyable. We came out with new denims and a new must visit store for our shopping trips."

"Who doesn't love a private event @ The Blues Jean Bar, especially when you're not paying for the jeans?! They closed the store for the private event and set up a table with Mediterranean snacks and wine and the 7 of us went to town shopping their unique collection of jeans...Great concept to do events here; the store is not too big, not too small and has a good selection of jeans you won't find anywhere else."

"I recently went to the Blues Jeans Bar, and it was just an overall great experience. I'd never owned a pair of "fancy jeans" (as our group called them), so I was excited to see what they had. Being slightly larger than the avg girl... i was afraid of not finding anything in my size. Alex however...came to the rescue!!! I found the perfect pair of jeans...gotta give it to him, the guy knows his jeans. In addition to jeans, they also carry an array of beautiful tops, dresses and accessories."

"I had a private event here and it was fabulous - Alex and his team were really accommodating, reassuring and helpful. I'm from out of town, so he made recommendations on where to buy food and they even provided beer and wine. We had about 20 people join us and the gals pulled piles and piles of jeans - it reminded me of being a teenager and getting together with the girls and trying on a zillion different outfits.

Jeans shopping has always felt like a private and uncomfortably intimate event, but with the coaching of the gals at the bar and their advice to 'try something you wouldn't normally try'. This however, was a warm, funny, silly time and everyone seemed to leave satisfied with their new pair of jeans."

"I absolutely love this place. The staff are so helpful and easy-going. I'm a guy and this was my first time going to a boutique to buy jeans, so I didn't know what to expect. And I don't know much about fashion either. They showed me a bunch of jeans and I quickly found one I wanted. I think the manager, Trisha, is superwoman, because she somehow made my small butt look good in jeans. Will definitely go back."
